Family Portraits

Samantha found Anthony online. She and Ryan were engaged, and they wanted portraits at the park where Ryan had proposed, Nomahegan Park in Cranford, New Jersey.

For the engagement session, Anthony told them to get there before sunrise. They did. That light doesn’t happen any other way, and it takes a client willing to follow the photographer’s lead before they’ve seen a single frame back. Samantha and Ryan were that kind of client from day one.

They came back a year later for their anniversary. Same direction: up before the sun, same park. Samantha sent a note afterward, unprompted. It became a blog post.

When Benjamin arrived, they called again. Updated wall portraits, same park. When Zoe came along, same thing. By the time Lucas was born, Anthony was driving up from North Carolina to make it happen.

Five sessions over the years. The park stays the same; the family keeps growing.
