About Anthony

Portrait photographer | Wake Forest, NC

The photographs that last aren’t an accident.

You’re here because you want portraits worth keeping. Not something serviceable. The kind of image a family pulls out after someone is gone, or that your grandchildren point to and understand something about who you all were.

Most photographers can produce a nice result. What’s harder is a session that actually feels like something, a reveal that makes someone cry, a portrait that ends up on a wall and stays there.

Anthony spent years in the advertising industry making work built to expire. Campaigns run their cycle and get replaced. He was good at it. But there’s no such thing as a meaningful ad. The first time a client cried at a portrait reveal, he understood what he actually wanted to make.

He’s been doing this since 2003. He holds the Certified Professional Photographer designation from the Professional Photographers of America, a credential fewer than 2% of photographers in the country hold. The studio is in Zebulon, NC, just outside Wake Forest. Permanent space, not a rented venue. This is where the work happens.

Before any session, expect more questions than you’d think. He wants to know what matters to your family, what you’re trying to capture, and who these images are really for. The session follows from that conversation. So does the reveal.

The families in the Client Stories section already knew what they were looking for. They found someone who took it as seriously as they did.

So Many Angels

There's work outside the studio that means more to me than most of what's in my portfolio.

So Many Angels is a nonprofit that gives fantasy portrait experiences to children battling cancer. They become superheroes, princesses, athletes, or whatever world they want to live in for a day. I started as a composite artist for the organization, building the digital environments around their images. It grew from there. I coordinated the first So Many Angels event ever held in North Carolina, photographing 13 children alongside volunteers I helped pull together.

If I didn't need to make a living, I'd do this full time.
