Family Portrait Session | Wake Forest, NC
BillieKay already knew what to expect. She had worked with Anthony before, for a headshot session, and when the time came to celebrate her family in a real way, she came back.
This session was about marking something: BillieKay as a single mom, Will and Ruthie at this particular point in their lives, all three of them together. Not a quick park shoot. A real studio experience, built around each of them.
Anthony visited the house before anything was scheduled on the calendar. They walked the walls together to figure out where portraits would eventually hang, went through outfits, and talked about the kids. Who Will was. Who Ruthie was. What would feel right for each of them. That conversation shaped the whole day.
When the session day arrived, Anthony’s artist did hair and makeup for BillieKay and Ruthie before the camera came out. Then the kids went first.
Will worked two looks: a cowboy setup with a guitar that fit who he is, and a cleaner editorial style for contrast. Ruthie had a great dress for her first run, then showed what she could do when the music was right. Both of them got their own time in front of the camera, their own full set. Not just faces in a group photo.
Then BillieKay stepped in and they brought the family together. A polished, luxury-styled look first, then they relaxed into jeans. Two different ways of being the same family.
Mom’s own beauty session is still coming. The family portraits, though, are on the wall.
Anthony thought of everything and I felt very prepared, relaxed and pampered. I look forward to working with him again!★★★★★ - BillieKay Roland, Wake Forest, NC
