Those incredible eyes. His parents were so amazed how comfortable he was for me that he even offered toys.

This wonderful couple was getting ready to move across the country, and so we decided to show her son his first room with great portraits from around their home. I know sometimes we try so hard to take outdoor photos, thinking that is the only place to take nice ones, but that’s just not true. The memory and importance of the portrait story should help decide. In this case, we were in an apartment that would be theirs for long, and we hoped that they could all look back years from now at their time in New Jersey, and show their son what it was like there.

In going through ordering, we had decided an album and wall portrait would sum up everything nicely, and to this day, the photo of his blue eyes is still one of my favorite all-time photos. Thanks to the Moran family!
